Welcome to Hohhot, the Capital City of Inner Mongolia! Clear the customs and retrieve your baggage by yourself upon arrival, be greeted by our tour guide in the train station who is holding a sign on which says “China Memory Trip”. A comfortable vehicle with experienced driver will transfer you directly to Inner Mongolia Museum. It has a large collection of cultural relics and artefacts covering various historical periods from the Paleolithic Age to modern times. It vividly shows the social life, economic development, culture and art of the Inner Mongolia region in various historical periods.
After we finish visiting the museum, we will go to Xilamuren Grassland and check in the yurt. In Mongolian language. It is one of the largest grasslands in China and one of the famous tourist attractions.
After we arrive, we will take an horseback riding to visit a herdsman’s family and Aobao Hill, you coming to the Xilamuren Grassland can participate in various outdoor activities, such as horse riding, camel riding, watching folk dances and music performances, and experiencing the life of herders. Meanwhile, there are many traditional yurts (dome tents) for tourists to live in, so that people can get close to nature and integrate into the grassland life. If you like nature and grassland scenery, Hilamuren Grassland is a good choice. Remember to prepare in advance, including wearing clothing suitable for outdoor activities and protecting yourself from the sun and cold weather!
Today's dinner is a Mongolian speciality on the steppe: the Mongolian Palace Banquet. The grandest meal that not only requires you to dress up in royal Mongolian costumes, but also allows you to enjoy various Mongolian ritual performances during this meal.
In the evening, join the bonfire party and enjoy the traditional dances and local songs performed by local Mongolians. After a full day of travelling, you will stay in a yurt, two people share a yurt and our yurts have separate toilets. Away from light pollution, you will have the chance to see the stars shining in the night sky. If the weather is bad, the bonfire will be cancelled.
